Premier League: Palace's Cabaye faces Payet in French duel

Dimitri Payet got one over on Yohan Cabaye as West Ham beat Palace 3-1 earlier this season

Crystal Palace head to West Ham United on Saturday hoping for their first Barclays Premier League win of 2016, and will hope that Yohan Cabaye will be fit to help their cause.

The France midfielder has enjoyed success against many different opponents during his time in England, and West Ham fall into that category.
With three goals from his last two encounters with the Hammers, Palace have reason to believe their midfielder can be a pivotal influence once more, if he can recover from the knock that Alan Pardew has revealed he is carrying.

But he comes up against a playmaker in imperious form. Since the start of last season, Dimitri Payet has created a total of 221 chances at Marseille and West Ham, the highest for a player across Europe's top five leagues and continued that form with a goal on his international return for France this week.
To halt the Hammers, Alan Pardew's Palace side are likely to have to contain the 29-year-old, while reversing their fortunes in derbies.
Of their six matches against London teams this season, the Eagles have just one victory, losing the other five.
And having not won a BPL match since December, the task to end their barren run will not be easy against the fifth-place Hammers but can take solace from the fact that the last three meetings of the teams in the league have brought 3-1 victories for the away side.
Goals from Glenn Murray (two) and Scott Dann earned three points at the Boleyn last season and was their second consecutive win there after a 1-0 triumph in 2013/14.
